Hotmail is a free and vast email service that was created in 1996. It was the first email service available for internet users. However, later on, many new email services were introduced, like Yahoo, Gmail, AOL, etc.Â HotmailÂ was officially released for public use on 4th July 1996. Anyone can create an account of Hotmail login and use it freely.
However, after becoming famous, Microsoft finally decided to buy www.hotmail.com. Thus, in 1997,Â hotmail.comÂ became a part of Microsoft; on 23rd April 2013, Microsoft decided to change its name to "Outlook".

Open your desired web browser and type www.hotmail.com, it will take you to the login page.

Adding 2FA to your Hotmail or Outlook account will make it more secure. No one will be able to login into your account even if they have your credentials. The steps to enable Two-Factor Authentication are:
Open your browser and visit "https://account.microsoft.com/security".
Enter your credentials to login into your account.
Click on the Advance Security options tab (You'll receive a security code on your recovery email address).
Enter the code to verify to make further changes.
Now, scroll down to "Additional Security" and you'll see a Two-Factor Authentication tab, click on "Turn on".
On the next window read the instructions carefully and click on the Next button.
Now select the method from which you want to enable your 2FA, like the APP, alternate Email address, or phone number.
Select your desired method and follow the instructions to successfully enable the 2FA on your Hotmail account.
You can simply login into your Hotmail account by visiting www.hotmail.com on the web browser using a PC or a Laptop. You can also use the Hotmail app on Android or iOS, just download the app and open it.
hotmail.com is a free webmail or Email service owned by Microsoft. It was first known as MSN (Microsoft Network). Anyone can create an account on Hotmail for free.
Visit www.hotmail.com and sign in using your email and current password.
Click on your profile on the upper-right side of the screen.
Select "view account" and then click on "change password".
Type your current password and then click on sign in again.
Now, click on "send code" and then enter the code that is received via text message or email.
After that, enter your current password then your new password (that you wished to set), and click on Confirm.
Now, click Next and you'll receive an email confirming that your password was changed successfully.Â
If you wished to delete your hotmail.com account, follow the steps below:
Open your web browser and visit "account.microsoft.com".
Log in with the email that you wanted to delete.
At the top of the page, click on the Your Info tab.
Now search for the "Help with Microsoft account" section.
Now, select "How to close your account".
Now choose whether you want Microsoft to retain your information for 30-60 days.
After that, you've to walk through a few security confirmations.
Once the process is finished you have 30 to 60 days to log back into your account just in case you've changed your mind.

To reset your Hotmail password follow the steps below:
Open your web browser and visit "account.live.com/resetpassword.aspx".
Enter your email or phone number and click on next.
If you've entered the phone number, Microsoft will send you a text on your number and if you've entered the email, Microsoft will ask you to enter the recovery email to get the code to reset your password.
Once you've gotten the code, enter the code and then reset your password without any issue.
