Manuscript Title:High isolation Four-port UWB MIMO Antenna for Millimeter-Wave 5G Applications using Cross-Neutralization Line
Manuscript Id:IJMOT-2026-1-363130
Abstract:

A compact four-port Ultra-Wideband (UWB) MIMO antenna operating over the 24–42.5 GHz band for millimeter-wave 5G applications is proposed. The antenna is implemented using four rectangular microstrip elements on a Rogers RT/Duroid 5880 substrate with dimensions of 31 × 22 × 0.8 mm³. The novelty of this work lies in the integration of a cross-neutralization line structure to enhance isolation between closely spaced elements without increasing design complexity while maintaining compact size and wide impedance bandwidth. The proposed antenna achieves mutual coupling below -21.2 dB, an Envelope Correlation Coefficient (ECC) less than 0.004, and a diversity gain of approximately 9.99 dB. In addition, it exhibits high radiation efficiency up to 90% and a peak gain of 7.82 dBi. These results demonstrate that the proposed design provides an efficient trade off between compactness, bandwidth, isolation, and diversity performance applications.

Manuscript Title:Optimizing IoT Connectivity with Rectangular Slotted Bowtie (RSB) Antenna Design
Manuscript Id:IJMOT-2026-1-363134
Abstract:
The digitalization era and Internet of Things (IoT) applications require antennas with wide bandwidth, compact size, and stable impedance matching for reliable wireless communication. However, previously reported rectangular bowtie antennas still exhibit limitations, including narrow bandwidth, high return loss, and improper resonance frequency for IoT applications. This study proposes a rectangular slotted bowtie (RSB) antenna integrated with an inset-fed technique, which represents the main novelty of this work. The proposed design combines geometric optimization of bowtie slots with inset feed positioning to simultaneously improve impedance matching, bandwidth, and return loss performance. The antenna was designed and analyzed using the Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) method and fabricated on an FR-4 substrate. The results show that the proposed antenna operates at 2.41 GHz with improved impedance matching and radiation characteristics. The antenna achieves a return loss of -39.4 dB, VSWR of 1.04, bandwidth of 3.06 GHz, and gain of 2.160 dBi. Compared with previously reported bowtie antennas, the proposed design offers a more compact size and wider bandwidth while maintaining stable gain performance. These improvements demonstrate that the rectangular slotted bowtie inset-fed antenna provides enhanced performance for IoT communication systems and I. INTRODUCTION In today's digital era, the Internet of Things (IoT) has become a key component supporting various technologies that require internet communication connectivity, such as sensors, vehicles, and household appliances [1-4]. IoT technology has become a technology that is frequently applied and developed in recent years, revolutionizing crucial sectors such as healthcare, transportation, smart homes, and industry [5,6]. However, IoT technology itself still has limitations in its application, especially supports reliable high-speed data transmission in wireless applications.

Manuscript Title:Design, Fabrication and Simulation of C- slot Octagonal Patch Antenna for Bone Cancer Analysis and Detection
Manuscript Id:IJMOT-2026-2-363137
Abstract:
This work details the design, construction, and simulation of a new type of compact octagonal C-slot microstrip patch antenna intended for detecting bone cancer. The proposed antenna is designed with CST software to operate at two different resonant frequencies (2.5GHz and 2.9GHz) by using an innovative C-slot geometry that provides increased interaction between electromagnetic fields and biological tissue, thereby improving the sensitivity of the detection process compared to traditional patch antennas. To study how the dielectric properties of a human bone sample change depending on various pathologies (i.e., healthy bone, mildly lytic bone, moderately lytic bone, fractured bone, and bone containing cancerous tumors), a multilayer bone model was created. Measurements were taken with different parameters such as the reflection coefficient (S11), electric field strength, magnetic field strength, and propagation delay time to measure these dielectric changes. The results of this study showed that variations in bone properties produced measurable shifts in resonant frequency as well as electrical and magnetic field distributions. Based on these results, the proposed antenna is well suited for enabling differentially diagnosing the type of condition affecting the patient’s bone. The proposed antenna represents an inexpensive, noninvasive, and compact biomedical sensing solution that has potential applications within both the clinical and research communities.

Manuscript Title:Exploring Sierpinski Carpet Fractal Antenna Design on 3D-Printed PLA Substrate for Enhanced ISM Band Performance
Manuscript Id:IJMOT-2026-2-363138
Abstract:

Using the originality of additive manufacturing, which is 3D printing, this study explores the feasibility of utilizing Polylactic Acid (PLA) as a substrate material for Sierpinski carpet antenna development. The proposed antenna design demonstrates superior performance, including enhanced bandwidth and miniaturization. The antenna is fabricated on a PLA substrate with a dielectric constant of 2.68 and a loss tangent of 0.0034, and has a patch dimension of 40×31×1.6 mm3. This antenna has an S11 of –17.83 dB (measured) and –32.04 dB (simulated), a gain of 6.22 dB (simulated) and 5.82 dB (measured), and a peak radiation efficiency of 77% at 2.45 GHz. The design employs 80% concentric infill density, yielding a compact footprint of 1240 mm², which is a 22.87% reduction relative to the zeroth-order iteration. Unlike established Sierpinski carpet antennas on commercial microwave laminates (e.g., Teflon ?r = 2.1, Rogers RO4350 ?r = 3.48), this PLA based approach biodegradable exploits thermoplastics low-cost for and rapid prototyping. A comparative analysis with previous fractal antennas reveals significant advancements. This work represents the first exploration of the Sierpinski carpet fractal geometry on a 3D-printed substrate, with simulated and experimental results demonstrating remarkable agreement.

Manuscript Title:A Reconfigurable Multilayer Cylindrical Cloak Using Exact Mie Theory
Manuscript Id:IJMOT-2026-2-363147
Abstract:

The design and analysis of a reconfigurable multilayer cylindrical cloak composed of tunable  isotropic dielectric shells is presented. The formulation is based on the cylindrical Mie scattering theory chosen for TMz_polarization which enforces Maxwell boundary conditions at every concentric interface. A bias-controlled permittivity model enables dynamic tuning of the cloak response without changing geometry. Near-field distributions (incident, scattered, and total fields), internal fields within the cloak and core, and angular far-field radar cross section (RCS) are computed directly from the modal scattering coefficients. This approach can be efficient and suitable for optimization and reconfiguration studies. Results demonstrate substantial scattering suppression at the targeted frequency of  1 GHz.

Manuscript Title:Machine Learning-Integrated Design of High-Gain SIW Volumetric Antenna for C-Band Applications
Manuscript Id:IJMOT-2026-2-373148
Abstract:

Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) based volumetric microstrip patch antennas play a vital role in antenna miniaturization while ensuring high performance. In this work, low-profile volumetric SIW antenna is proposed to achieve a single band response. The antenna dimensions are 38.5 × 38.5 × 1.6 mm³, implemented on an FR4 substrate with a microstrip line feed. Detailed parametric analysis was carried out and both simulated and measured results are presented. The proposed design resonates at 7.05GHz and achieves a peak gain greater than 6 dB, confirming its suitability for C-band applications. To enhance predictive design capability, a Random Forest Machine Learning (ML) model was integrated into the workflow. The model achieved high accuracy in resonant frequency prediction (R² = 0.99, RMSE = 0.03) and moderate accuracy in gain prediction (R² = 0.48, RMSE = 0.13 dB). After calibration, the ML predictions closely aligned with the measured descriptors of the fabricated prototype. These results validate the effectiveness of ML-integrated modeling in capturing antenna performance trends and improving prediction reliability. This work presents a complete pipeline: design to simulation to fabrication to measurement to ML calibration.

Manuscript Title:Analysis of a Highly Selective First Order Wideband BPF for Direct Broadcast Service Satellite Applications
Manuscript Id:IJMOT-2026-2-373151
Abstract:

A first order compact wideband BPF is designed and analyzed for uplink DBS satellite communication applications. Order of the BPF is analyzed by adding the number of resonators to the pair of transmission lines. First order BPF is designed by utilizing An-soft HFSSv13 and it is manufactured by utilizing chemical etching and the output parameters are measured by utilizing combinational analyser (MS2037C Anritsu). First order BPF is basically a three-layered structure, top layer contains the resonating element, middle layer is the substrate material i.e., FR4 and the bottom layer is the conducting ground layer. H-shaped BPF is designed by cascading the coupled transmission lines. H-shaped BPF occupies an area of 5 x 10 x 1.6 mm3. Reflection coefficient of -17.1 dB has been observed at 12 GHz with an FBW of 11.6% (11.256 GHz-12.62 GHz). Transmission coefficient of <3 dB and group delay of 0.46 nS has been observed at 12 GHz. Close match between the simulated and fabricated results has been observed and these results make the BPF suitable for uplink DBS satellite communication applications.

Manuscript Title:Dual-Band and Hexagonal Four-Port MIMO Antenna with Bird Eye Shaped Radiating Element on Circular DGS for IoT Applications
Manuscript Id:IJMOT-2026-2-373152
Abstract:
The proposed Dual Band Hexagonal Four Port MIMO (DHFPMIMO) antenna has a bird's-eye radiating element which is a unique geometry, unlike the traditional designs. A circular defected ground structure (DGS) is incorporated to enhance isolation and control the current distribution. The proposed design can support various IoT applications because it provides dual-ISM band operation at 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz. Moreover, the proposed DHFPMIMO antenna is efficient in suppressing unwanted intermediate resonance, which enhances overall stability in performance. The designed antenna has a compact size of 50 × 50 mm². The measured results indicate that return loss values of -16 dB and -24 dB and the highest gains of 3.48 dBi and 7.89 dBi at the respective bands. Diversity parameters including ECC < 0.003, DG =10dB, CCL < 0.35bits/s/Hz, MEG <-10dB, TARC -23dB verify the MIMO performance. The antenna exhibits dual-band functionality at high isolation due to DGS, a small scale design, and controlled resonance features, which underscores its novelty and applicability in the context of IoT.

Manuscript Title:A Wide Frequency-Ratio Dual-Band Branch-Line Coupler with Enhanced Bandwidth for 5G and Next Generation Wireless Systems
Manuscript Id:IJMOT-2026-2-373153
Abstract:
This paper presents a dual-band branch-line coupler (BLC) designed to operate at two widely separated frequencies of 915 MHz and 6.405 GHz. The proposed design employs a modified quarter-wave transmission-line structure incorporating open stubs and coupled-line sections to enable wide frequency-ratio operation. Bandwidth enhancement is achieved through the application of binomial impedance matching and a cascaded configuration. The design is analyzed and optimized using full-wave electromagnetic simulation. Simulation results indicate a balanced power division, with insertion-loss of approximately -3 dB, input return-loss better than 34 dB, and isolation exceeding 37 dB at both operating frequencies. Notably, the cascaded configuration provides a very wide fractional bandwidth of more than 90% at 915 MHz and approximately 14% at 6.405 GHz. The proposed coupler offers stable electrical performance, wide bandwidth, and a simple planar structure, making it suitable for modern RF and microwave systems requiring dual-band operation with a large frequency-ratio.

Manuscript Title:Implementation of Band Pass Filter Using CSRR and SRR Structures for Millimeter Applications
Manuscript Id:IJMOT-2026-2-373155
Abstract:

In this paper, band-pass filters are designed using different combinations of complementary split-ring resonators (CSRRs) and split-ring resonators (SRRs). Four different structures of band pass filters are proposed by placing the CSRR on the ground plane and the SRR are placed on the signal line. The design and simulation of the proposed structure have been carried out by using the HFSS FEM tool. All the performance characteristics of the band-pass filters are studied, such as resonance frequency, bandwidth, and insertion loss. By comparing all the performance characteristics of the proposed structures, the better structure is finalized. The circuit performance of the optimized structure studied with the help of the ADS FEM tool and compared at both the device level and circuit level simulations. There is good agreement between both circuit and device-level simulations.  In the proposed four different structures design-2 show excellent performance characteristics, such as bandwidth, insertion losses and resonance frequency are 2.6 GHz, -30.4 dB and 64.5 GHz respectively. The proposed design -2 is most suitable for millimeter wave applications.

Manuscript Title:Wideband Performance of a Two-Arm Mode 2 Spiral Antenna
Manuscript Id:IJMOT-2026-3-373158
Abstract:
A two-arm broadband spiral antenna operating under Mode-2 excitation across 2–18 GHz is presented. In contrast to conventional fundamental-mode operation, in-phase arm excitation induces even and higher-order current distributions that suppress broadside radiation and generate dominant off-broadside radiation, enabling controlled angular power redistribution over a multi-octave bandwidth. A parametric optimization study is conducted to achieve stable impedance matching and consistent radiation performance across the operating band. The antenna demonstrates a wideband return loss below -10 dB, stable realized gain in the sidelobe direction, and strong polarization discrimination with minimized orthogonal components, all without the use of additional absorptive loading. Measured results show good agreement with simulations, validating the robustness of the design and the feasibility of higher-order mode excitation without additional complex feed networks. Compared to conventional spiral configurations, the proposed approach enables enhanced angular coverage and frequency-agile radiation characteristics, making it suitable for wideband communication, ground surveillance, and electromagnetic sensing applications.

Manuscript Title:Novel Compact UWB MIMO Antenna Design for Sub-6 GHz 5G Applications
Manuscript Id:IJMOT-2026-5-373210
Abstract:
In contemporary wireless communication systems, ultra-wideband (UWB) antennas play an increasingly significant role. This work presents a compact MIMO antenna featuring a novel geometry. The proposed antenna exhibits an exceptionally wide impedance bandwidth of 120%, effectively covering the entire UWB spectrum from 2.98 to 11.90 GHz. The simulated gain ranges from 2.5 to 5.5 dBi. Two defected ground structures (DGS) are integrated into the partial ground plane, significantly contributing to bandwidth enhancement. Furthermore, the incorporation of a circular stub improves isolation between the radiating elements and reduces mutual coupling. The isolation remains better than 14 dB at lower frequencies and improves to better than 19 dB at higher frequencies. With compact dimensions of 42 × 44 × 1.6 mm3, the proposed antenna satisfies the performance requirements of MIMO systems, as confirmed by key metrics such as the envelope correlation coefficient (ECC) and channel capacity loss (CCL). Finally, a comparison with previously reported works highlights the improvements achieved by the proposed design. Owing to its enhanced performance, the antenna is particularly well suited for UWB MIMO applications, especially within the sub-6 GHz range, as well as in the C, X, and Ku bands and radar systems.

Manuscript Title:Optimization of Li-Nb Mach Zehnder Modulator Based RoF Link With Improved BER for the Next Generation Networks
Manuscript Id:IJMOT-2025-12-363123
Abstract:
Fifth-generation (5G) wireless technology demands extremely high data rates and ultra-low latency, positioning Radio-over-Fibre (RoF) networks as a key backbone infrastructure for next-generation wireless access. Achieving high signal to-noise ratio (SNR) with minimal bit error rate (BER) remains a critical challenge, strongly influenced by the choice of optical modulator. In this work, a novel optimization technique for a Lithium Niobate Mach–Zehnder Modulator (LiNbO3 MZM)–based RoF link is presented, accounting for realistic optical fibre impairments. A physics-accurate simulation framework is employed to evaluate system performance over fibre lengths of 8 km, 9 km, and 20 km. The proposed RoF link achieves ultra-low BER values of 4.094 × 10?²¹, 6.053 × 10?²¹, and 1.277 × 10?¹6, respectively, demonstrating exceptional robustness against fibre-induced degradations. Unlike conventional RoF studies that rely on simplified modulator models or moderate BER analysis, this work emphasizes wideband and millimetre-wave RF transmission with superior linearity and nonlinearity tolerance. The results establish LiNbO3 MZM–based RoF links as a future-ready, high-reliability solution for next-generation IoT, 5G-advanced, and emerging 6G wireless networks.

Manuscript Title:Remote Respiratory Rate Estimation Using LiDAR Sensing and Machine Learning on Clinical Datasets
Manuscript Id:IJMOT-2026-4-373198
Abstract:
Respiratory rate (RR) monitoring is a key to the early identification of respiratory deterioration, but most of the current systems are either uncomfortable, motion-sensitive, or cannot be used on a daily basis. This article suggests a completely non-contact and non-invasive RR estimation system using simulated light-detecting and ranging (LiDAR). In contrast to traditional LiDAR studies, which primarily use controlled experiments with hardware, the proposed methodology systematically validates LiDAR- inspired respiratory monitoring on two publicly available clinical datasets, CapnoBase and BIDMC, which are relatively clean and noisier ICU-like respiratory states. Clinical respiratory records were converted into LiDAR-like chest motion signals and band-pass filtered, envelope extracted, and peaked to produce the signals. Random Forest and Support Vector Regression models were then estimated on handcrafted temporal and spectral features of 32 s and 64 s windows to estimate RR. The proposed system attained a mean absolute error (MAE) of 0.90 bpm on CapnoBase and 3.24 bpm on BIDMC, which exhibited clinically realistic baseline performance at varying signal conditions. The results are a reproducible algorithmic baseline to be used in future respiratory monitoring LiDAR based and possibly Internet-of-Things (IoT) integration of remote assessment.
