About Banmali S. Rawat Dear authors and subscribers, I am very pleased to inform you that the seventh issue of IJMOT and second in 2008 is now available on the IJMOT web site. This issue contains 12 papers thoroughly reviewed by our expert reviewers from all over the globe. The success of IJMOT is highly dependent on the hard work performed by these reviewers and Associate Editors. We are really very thankful to all them for their support for IJMOT. Without their help and support we will not be able to publish IJMOT issues in timely manner. As mentioned before we are sill working on the highly desirable and friendlier changes to IJMOT to be incorporated in the near future. As usual, I am very thankful to all of you for showing great understanding and patience in these publications. I am looking forward to your full cooperation in subscription and paper contribution areas as many of you and your institutions have not yet become subscriber of IJMOT. Also please spread the word about IJMOT among your colleagues and friends. Our target is to make IJMOT one of the best established journals in the field within next few years with papers being published in the shortest possible time frame.
Also, just a reminder that another main activity of ISRAMT is the organization of the International Symposium on Microwave and Optical Technology (ISMOT). The 11th ISMOT-2007 was successfully held at Villa Mondragone, Monte Porzio Catone, Italy from 17-21 December 2007 under the leadership of Prof. Franco Giannini of the University of Rome, Italy. The ISMOT-2009 is scheduled in New Delhi, India from December 16-19, 2009 under the leadership of Prof. R. S. Gupta of the University of Delhi. All the details regarding the ISMOT-2009 will be available through a link on the IJMOT website within next few months. We hope to see you in this conference in large number and remember that the selected papers accepted for the ISMOT conference are published in IJMOT as full length papers after normal review process. About 50 top papers out of 200 papers from ISMOT-2007 will be published in the special issue of IJMOT in July 2008.
