First of all on behalf of the IJMOT Editorial Board, I would like to extend New Year’s Greetings to our subscribers and all the authors who have contributed papers to IJMOT. With your support and help and enormous help from the editorial board members, we have been successful in publishing two issues in 2006 including the special issue containing papers from ISMOT-2005. In total we have published 149 papers in these two issues which is an excellent beginning for this new journal. Now we are entering in year 2007 with greater expectations, hope and with some experience. I am very thankful to all of you for showing great understanding in these publications. I am sure this year we would be able to solve most of the problems we faced in year 2006 as it has been a great learning experience for us. We have to streamline our reviewing process so that all the papers can be published in timely manner. I am looking forward to your full cooperation in subscription and paper contribution areas as many of you and your institutions have not yet become subscriber of IJMOT. Also please spread the word about IJMOT among your colleagues and friends. Our target is to make IJMOT one of the best established journals in the field within three years period.

Also, just a reminder that other main activity of ISRAMT is the organization of the International Symposium on Microwave and Optical Technology (ISMOT). The 11th ISMOT-2007 will be held in Frascati, Rome, Italy from December 18-21, 2007 under the leadership of Prof. Franco Giannini of the University of Rome, Italy. We hope to see you in this conference in large number and remember that the papers accepted for the ISMOT conference are published in IJMOT as full length papers after normal review process.
